The rise of heat pumps and the need to phase out HFC refrigerants are transforming the HVAC market.
FREMONT, CA : Heat generators are more expensive than air conditioners by their very nature. With improved comfort and energy savings, many consumers need monetary incentives to make the switch. The U.S. Government's push for advanced, green-source systems encourages consumers to switch to highly efficient heat pumps, particularly in light of the attractive utility rebates and tax credits. Many consumers and even some HVAC contractors need to gain knowledge of heat pump technology, its benefits, and the financial incentives for homeowners to convert.
New regulations have helped to spur industry-wide changes, resulting in the electrification of more markets and manufacturers. When homeowners realize the benefits of switching, they will be more inclined to do so. Businesses provide solutions that account for the impact of these new electric systems on electrical consumption, particularly for consumers. Dual-fuel applications are an excellent option for consumers who want an all-electric solution but whose home's electric system may not support a fully electric heat pump system. Even markets that have not traditionally been heat pump markets are observing a significant increase in heat pump popularity.
