Roads Bridges and Tunnels Saudi Arabia Conference Opens Today in Jeddah with Strong Government and Industry Participation

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - The Third Roads Bridges and Tunnels Saudi Arabia Conference officially opened today at the Jeddah Hilton, bringing together senior government officials, transport authorities, development entities, consultants, contractors, and solution providers to shape the future of the roads, bridges, and tunnels sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


The opening day witnessed strong engagement from public and private sector stakeholders, underlining the strategic importance of transport infrastructure in supporting the national development vision, regional growth, and large scale urban expansion across the Kingdom.


The conference is supported by prominent institutional partners, including the Transport General Authority, the National Transport Safety Center, Riyadh Municipality, the Sharqia Development Authority, the Saudi Council of Engineers, and Al Quz, reflecting broad backing from across the transport and infrastructure ecosystem.


Day One featured high level presentations and panel discussions led by senior decision makers and technical experts. Key speakers included Ebrahim Ababtain, Director of Bridges at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, Ahmad Salem Alanazi, Project Management Office Director at the Transport General Authority, Dr Abdulqader Amir, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Planning and Development at the Aseer Development Authority, and Taha Alandejani, Senior Director at the Madinah Region Development Authority.


Further insights were shared by Eng Bandar Alanazi, Director General of Axes Bridges and Tunnels at Riyadh Municipality, Luay Ayyash, Director of Construction at the Royal Commission for AlUla, Sultan Alsasi, Director of Roads and Floods at the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, and Abdulmohsen Almulhem, Director of Regional Initiatives at the Sharqia Development Authority.


Discussions on the opening day focused on national transport strategies, major infrastructure projects, safety and resilience, project delivery challenges, and the integration of innovation and technology in the development of roads, bridges, and tunnels.
